Pronunciation – vocabulary of the day

Characters:
Samantha (S)
Tom (T)

S: Hi, Tom! How was your day at school today?

T: Hi, Samantha! It was great. I had so much fun. We learned new things in class.

S: That’s awesome! What did you learn?

T: We learned about different animals. I laughed so much when my teacher showed us a funny video of a laughing hyena.

S: Haha, that sounds fun! Did you ride your bike to school today?

T: No, I didn’t ride my bike. It was raining this morning, so I took the school bus.

S: Oh, I see. Speaking of rain, I heard that it’s going to rain again tomorrow. I hope I don’t cry when I get wet.

T: Don’t worry, Samantha. Just remember to bring an umbrella, and you won’t get wet.

S: Thanks, Tom. I will make sure to open my umbrella and stay dry.

T: Good idea! And when the rain stops, don’t forget to close your umbrella before you come inside.

S: You’re right. I don’t want to forget to close it, or it might get all wet and messy.

T: That’s true. It’s important to open and close things at the right time!

S: Thanks for the advice, Tom. I’m glad I can learn from you.

T: You’re welcome, Samantha. We can always help each other learn and have fun.
